Transforming Waste Gas into Sustainable Aviation Fuel
Renewable Energy Solutions for a Sustainable Future
Our Renewable Projects
As a SAF Developer, BioFlight Fuels has various projects to enable R&D and future commercial operations.
SAF Production - Terminal 1
BioFlight’s Terminal 1 Project commercial scale facility producing SAF from Renewable Natural Gas. Located in Sarina Ontario, the plant will convert biogas into certified jet fuel using modular gas-to-liquid technology.

Status: Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) Study Complete.
Feedstock - City of Barrie Renewable Natural Gas
The Barrie RNG project is a partnership with the City of Barrie to convert biogas from municipal wastewater into clean, upgraded biomethane. This project serves as a local model for low-carbon fuel production using existing municipal infrastructure.

Status: Designed and Funded. Operations to begin Q3 2026.
Test Flight - SAF Demo Plan
In partnership with OxEon Energy, the Flight School Demo Plant is converting biogas into SAF using an advanced technology stack, anchored by Fischer Tropsch. Located in Salt Lake City, this project demonstrates BioFlight’s modular gas-to-liquid system at commercial-relevant scale,

Status: Commissioned. Operations to begin August 2025.
Our Process
At BioFlight Fuels we use tried and true gas to liquid technology that is uniquely stacked. The purpose-built plant is designed specifically to mitigate technology risk of operations.
01
Capture
RNG is produced at landfills, farms, and wastewater sites through the natural breakdown of organic waste. This clean energy source forms the foundation of our feedstock.
02
Deliver
The RNG is transported to our production facility via existing pipeline infrastructure. This enables efficient, scalable delivery from multiple feedstock sources.
03
Convert
At our modular plant site, the RNG is reformed into syngas and synthesized into synthetic crude oil using advanced Fischer-Tropsch technology.
04
Refine
The synthetic crude is distilled and finished to meet global aviation fuel standards. The result is a certified, ready-to-blend SAF. Creating a drop-in solution for the aviation
